There is no software to download or app needed to view the livestream. Note all times on the calendar are in Pacific Standard Time (PST). The virtual tour is appropriate for all ages.

School Field Trip

K-12 schools across the country can now take a virtual field trip of Poverty Encounter! Through compelling stories and engaging dialogue, students will deepen their understanding of global poverty while developing greater empathy and compassion for those who are suffering. Public and private school versions available. There is no cost to schools/homeschools for virtual field trips.

A Note for Educators:

The scope of Poverty Encounter is intended to provide guests with an introduction to the realities of children living in poverty and a biblical response to poverty, as well as an opportunity to take action to help those in need. Questions related to issues outside of the intended scope (for example, politics, environmental concerns, etc.) will be referred to the teacher or school leadership.

School Partnership Program

Available for K-8 schools, the FREE School Partnership Program offers a deeper dive into the complexities of poverty through thematic sessions with topics such as hunger, injustice, and poverty in America. The program includes live instruction from a Poverty Encounter facilitator. Captivating videos, student activities, lesson plans, and educator resources are also included.
